Adult Education

Friendship Class—meets Sundays 9:30-10:30am in the Emmaus Chapel.  The class offers a focused Bible lesson from the Adult Bible Studies curriculum.  We gather each week to listen, learn, pray, question, support, affirm, and fellowship with one another.  As we delve into the Scriptures, we seek to discern the meaning of Scripture as it applied long ago and still is a guide for today and tomorrow.  We are a welcoming class that encourages newcomers to join in and share the joy of learning the Word of God.  The class is co-led by Marsha Menear and Ted Sellew.

McGee Bible Study—meets Wednesdays 9-10am in the Emmaus Chapel in Fellowship Hall.  This Bible study, led by Ted Sellew, is reading “Thru the Bible” with J. Vernon McGee.  We take time to encourage each other and pray for all concerns.

Upper Room Class–meets in the church parlor  on Sundays from 9:30-10:30am.  We grow in our faith and fellowship as we read books written by Max Lucado.  His books include study questions and real life lessons.  We spend the hour  learning and growing.

Son Seekers – meets in the parlor from 11am to noon on Sundays.  This is a class that studies the Bible and contemporary Christian issues through short term topical studies.  Example studies: healing, Methodist history and beliefs, missions, and books of the Bible.  The class is led by a variety of church leaders.

Pastor’s Bible Study– Following our weekly dinner open to the congregation and community, is a Bible study led by our senior pastor.  The study is from 6-7pm every Wed. during the school year in Fellowship Hall.  Come enjoy dinner and Bible study with friends!
