At Estero UMC, our goal is to welcome the local community into the Kingdom of God. Many times throughout the year, we invite the community to participate in various events hosted by Estero UMC. We hope the welcome mat will encourage the community to not only partake in an event but to know the love of Christ.
Another way in which we show Christ’s love is by giving of ourselves. We do this primarily through sharing our gifts to those who need a helping hand. Children at Estero United Methodist Church have many areas they can play a role in.
Winterfest
Each January, Estero UMC hosts the Winterfest to bring the congregation and community together for food, fun, many activities including a real snow bank for playing on and hot air balloon rides. Information on the many ministries of the church are shared.
Easter Egg Hunt
Each year, Estero UMC extends an invitation community wide to join us the Saturday before Easter for an Easter egg hunt. Over 4,000 plastic eggs are filled with candies and spread on the church lawns for children age 10 and under to find. Parents and children also enjoy lunch and many family activities.
Pumpkin Patch
In October, two tons of pumpkins are on sale on church property as a community event and church fundraiser for our youth program. Just the right pumpkin is searched out, pictures are taken, and memories are made as families spend time together enjoying the fall weather. |
